Wolfshead
Squadron stresses initiative, flexibility, and the ability
to improvise and act independently in its members, and the squadron's
requirements are built to emphasize these qualities. The squadron
is open to owners of the games X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing
vs. TIE Fighter. In addition, pilots may also be certified as
ground combat ready if they wish by meeting requirements from
the games Dark Forces or Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.
Something
important to note: While we're a group for owners of the
LucasArts Star Wars family of games, this "squadron"
is not just about raw ability at the games. As a rule, we will
take someone with a good personality but mediocre stats over
somebody who's a serious top pilot but has an attitude problem.
Our primary squad activities tend to run toward the creative
side of things - custom missions, "point of view"
stories (called "POVs"), and artwork -rather than
toward the competitive side like ladders and such. If you are
more into ladders and serious competition, and aren't into writing
and reading good stories, this might not be the squadron for
you. Check out our Hangar section for other squadrons (like Renegade Wing) which might be more
suited to your tastes.

Wolfshead
Squadron is a unique and shared asset between Starfighter
Command and Alliance Intelligence, and is not considered a normal
combat formation. Wolfshead's primary mission is to serve as a "firefighting"
force for the Alliance, and is dispatched by either Starfighter
Command or Alliance Intelligence to perform dangerous and precarious
missions. To further this end, all members of the Squadron are more
than just starfighter pilots. Each adds specialties in other areas,
such as tactics, espionage, slicing, communications, or
ground combat. The goal is to produce a small, relatively
self-contained force that can adapt to a wide variety of missions,
both in the cockpit and out.
As befitting its mission, Wolfshead Squadron has more and different
equipment than the average fighter squadron. Based onboard the MC-E1/Strike
Carrier
Wolf's Lair,
the squadron flies all four of the primary Alliance starfighters
(X-, Y-, A-, and B-wings), the Lambda-class
armed transport shuttle, and even a modified Skipray Blastboat.
For particular missions, the squadron may also be supplied with
other craft--even captured Imperial fighters! The Wolf's
Lair is one of the first newly designed capital
ships of the New Republic.
The following
requirements are to be met for entry into the ranks of Wolfshead
