Michael "Parody"
Miller grew up in the Imperial City in Coruscant. His father was
a Senator in the Old Republic, and a supporter of Palpatine. His
mother was a computer programmer, but was increasingly helping his
father in his political assignments.
When his father
was assigned as Moff of the Grahandas system, including their Imperial
Starfighter Shipyards, his father moved them out to Grahandas III.
Moff Miller became increasingly ruthless and cruel, and as a result
Parody had virtually no friends in the Grahandas system. He spent
many lonely nights with his computers and the family droids, while
his mother did what she could to temper his father's actions. He
enjoyed playing action games, and 're-engineering' whatever droids
he could catch and contain. Parody also enjoyed singing in the school
music classes.
When he was
16, his family went on an in-depth tour of the shipyards. Parody
was fascinated by the engineering facilities there. During a reception
afterwards, he wandered off to a large simulation machine he had
found. Later, he went back to the reception with an award certificate
and TIE Fighter patch. Those were his ticket into early admission
in the Imperial Naval Academy.
After two years
of study both as a pilot and as a droid engineer, he was assigned
to Frigate Minotaur. However, throughout his time at the Academy,
he had been getting letters from his mother about his father's continuing
atrocities with the workers of the system. Her last message was
of leaving and joining the fledgling Rebellion. This message, however,
was heard by more than just Parody. His father had known about the
messages for years, and had his mother brought up on treason charges.
Parody was implicated as an associate, and was court-marshaled.
During the trial, the news came in that his mother was executed
by Moff Miller.
At that point,
the Rebels attacked the Minotaur. Parody was given his chance to
prove his loyalty as a TIE pilot: go out there and destroy the Rebel
attackers! Overcome with grief that he never took any action to
stop this from happening, and anger at the Empire for changing his
father so much, he decided to switch sides. He started attacking
other TIE Fighters. The Rebels didn't quite know why this rogue
TIE Fighter was attacking others, but they knew how to take help.
They quickly finished off the Frigate.
Parody joined
the Rebellion's pilots that day, as a pilot, engineer, and self-designated
morale officer. He first joined Corsair Squadron, attached to the
Mon Calamari Cruiser Liberty. He was promoted to Lieutenant and
transferred to Buccaneer Squadron after completing his training...and
surviving the now-classified "First Flight" scenario.
After a few months of service in Buccaneer, he was promoted to Executive
Officer.
His life took
a strange turn during the combination of missions classified as
"Full Force". As a result of damage taken, his B-Wing
hypered without a full program or conscious pilot. Parody was forced
out of hyperspace by a planetary system, and he landed on a human
habitable planet.
The next few
years were ones of pure survival, and Parody doesn't like to speak
about them. Fortunately for him, his jury-rigged repairs to his
B-Wing reported that a ship had entered the system. Unfortunately,
it was Imperials.
And his story
continues...
